Hatshepsut and Kawit 1

The Egyptian royals have since the beginning of the pyramids inherited a gift. The gift was said to come from the gods and is passed on to the new Pharaoh when the old one dies or abdicates. The gift provides enhanced physique and psyche. In rare cases the Pharaoh develop unique abilities depending on whether they are physically or mentally strong. It may e.g. be telekinesis or knowledge of the future. The royal priests have responsibility for the transfer of the gift and only they knows its origin, which they refuse to tell anyone.

Pharaoh Hatshepsut suspect corruption among the priests. She is one of the few pharaohs who cares about all of her people and is determined to find out the gift's secret. She is aware that her health is faltering and she wants to ensure a good future for the people of Egypt. There’s a rumor that says that the priests wants to overthrow the monarcy and Hatshepsut knows that this will mean a dramatic change for Egypt and not for the better. The priests have become corrupt and wants to use the “gift” for selfish reasons. They have rejected the traditional, balanced view, in Egypt on death as something natural. They want to find the way to eternal life.

Hatshepsut has strong mental powers that manifest themselves in short periods of levitation. However, she is physically weak since she suffers from an early stage of bone cancer.

Kawit is Hatshepsut's closest servant, a physically strong woman. Hatshepsut has realized that she’s never going to get any information from the priests so she decides to explore her kingdom in search for answers. She asks Kawit for help and the two discover that the gift can be transferred between the two. Kawit becomes much physically stronger than usual.

By being able to switch between Hatshepsut and Kawit the player can get to places that only one character can get to. Hatshepsut can use levitation "jumps" to greater heights and for example open locked doors by pulling levers. Later in the game, when the player gets closer to the source Hatshepsuts force becomes stronger and psychic “blasts” can be used. Kawit takes care of any enemies (priests and their thugs/grunts) and can move heavy objects.
